Sporting Success!
The children recently represented Ide Hill at the Tonbridge Tag Rugby Inter School’s Competition. Mr Taylor was beaming on his return and was extremely proud of the year 6 children, who so confidently represented our school for the first time.
The children did exceptionally well playing against local schools. The Ide Hill A team finished joint 3rd place out of 12 school teams and the Ide Hill B team finished 7th out of 12 school teams.
Mr Taylor said “I am over the moon that children from our school showed that they can compete with children up to 3 academic years above them. They were incredible. “
Our Ide Hill Netball Team also recently played against Crocken Hill, achieving a 17-4 win with two children making their debuts for our school – a fantastic achievement.
We are also celebrating our success at the EDSA Tag Rugby Tournament, where a mixed team of children from KS2 represented our school. The children won every match they played and were delighted to be crowned EDSA champions!
Well done to all the children on all their incredible sporting achievements and for showing such great sportsmanship. What a wonderful way to start the academic year!
