Our School Houses

At Ide Hill School, every child becomes part of one of our four proud houses: Hever, Leeds, Bodiam, and Dover. Each house is named after a historic castle close to Ide Hill, connecting our students to the rich heritage of our local area.

Being part of a house is more than just a name—it’s about belonging, teamwork, and school spirit. From the moment your child joins us, they are placed in a house, which becomes a community within our school.

Our houses come together for exciting events throughout the year. Sports Day is always a highlight, with pupils of all ages competing for their house in a friendly, supportive environment. But it’s not just about sports—houses also take part in fun activities like Christmas Craft Day, encouraging creativity and collaboration across different year groups.

Houses bring our school together, creating opportunities for friendships to grow beyond year group boundaries and for children to feel part of something bigger. Whether cheering each other on, working as a team, or celebrating achievements, our house system helps every child feel valued and included.

Hever, Leeds, Bodiam, and Dover—four houses, one school, endless opportunities to shine!
