Thank you for joining us for our sports day event. Thankfully the weather was on our side and we were able to run all the events successfully. It was really lovely to be together as a community, to reconnect with families and to welcome our new Sapling families to the school. We hope that you all enjoyed the day.
The children were all absolutely incredible and gave their all, trying their best in their events and cheering on their class mates. This year, the house cup was presented to Dover although all children received a sports day medal in recognition of their hard work and participation – you are all winners in our eyes. A huge thank you to Mr Howse for organising the day and to the whole staff team for using PE times to prepare the children and for all the “behind the scenes” work including cutting the grass, organising line markings, gazebos, first aid kits, moving benches, finding picnic mats etc. It was a great team effort. Thank you also to the PTA, Mrs Fletcher and Year 6 parents for their amazing fundraising with the raffle and refreshments tent. Thanks to the generosity of parents and local businesses we raised £700 with the raffle and a further £300 at the refreshments tent. What an incredible achievement. Thank you all so much for your generosity.
