Hazel Class Visit

On the 18th October, Hazel Class had a special visitor! Mrs. Taylor, who is a parent at the school and a baker, came in to talk to us about her job and showcase some of her special skills. The children were perfectly behaved and asked her many questions about her profession. After that, Mrs. Taylor showed the children how to decorate a cup cake using special equipment to shape icing into a pumpkin, tendrils and leaves. The children had a lovely time and learnt new skills – one of which was perseverance! This visit was the outcome of our Design and Technology unit on adapting a simple recipe and using cooking equipment. Thank you Mrs. Taylor for your time; we loved having you!
