Remote Education Provision
In certain circumstances, it may not be possible for pupils to attend school in person. These situations fall into two broad categories:
-
School Closures or Restrictions on Attendance
This occurs when access to the school is restricted for a wider group of pupils due to events such as health emergencies, extreme weather, or government directives. In such cases, we will provide remote education to ensure continuity of learning for all pupils.
-
Individual Cases
If a pupil is unable to attend school due to personal circumstances such as illness but is still able to engage in learning, we will offer remote education to keep them connected to their studies.
While remote education is an essential tool in certain situations, our priority remains to keep the school open and provide in-person education whenever it is safe and appropriate to do so. Every effort will be made to ensure pupils can attend school or, if necessary, an alternative site that is safe and suitable for learning.
However, after considering all options, there may be exceptional circumstances where school leaders, in consultation with the local authority, decide that it is not possible to open safely, or where doing so would contradict government guidance. In such instances, remote education will be provided following the guidance set by the UK government (
Providing Remote Education Guidance for Schools).
In the event of remote learning, work will be sent to each class via email as soon as possible, ensuring minimal disruption to your child’s education. We understand that working remotely can be challenging for many families, and we are committed to working closely with you to offer support and guidance throughout this time.
Our aim is to maintain the highest standards of education, whether pupils are learning remotely or in person.
