In KS1 Collective Worship the children were reflecting on the gifts they received this Christmas. They chose to share the ones that were most meaningful:
Getting a hug from my Mummy and Daddy,
Seeing my Aunty on Christmas Day,
Having a cuddle from my little sister,
Having a cuddle from my baby brother,
Having a lick from my pet!
Watching others open their presents,
Feeling loved by my family,
Having a kiss from my kitten,
Spending time with my cousin, who lives in France,
Seeing my Dad’s side of the family,
Getting a “Merry Christmas” from my brother,
Spending time with my whole family.
In Key Stage 2 Collective Worship, the children have been reflecting on where they have caught glimpses of God and created this list:
In the splash of the water,
In the stillness of the sea,
In the squeak of laughter,
In the wing beat of a dove,
In the twinkle of a star,
In the colours of sunset,
In the eye of a storm,
In the burning of the bush (in the story of Moses),
In the whisper of the wind,
In the flicker of fire,
In the crunch of snow,
In the warmth of a hug,
In the light of the moon,
In the rustle of the forest,
In the right of a child,
In the dusty ray of sun,
In the shimmer of a lake
We can find God.
