Chinese New Year 2018

16th February 2018
We have been celebrating 'Kung Hey Fat Choy' across the school this week. In Saplings, the children have been busy creating Chinese music and dragon dances (with their own REAL dragon!)

They have also written their numbers and learnt to say 'Zao' (Good Morning) to each other in Chinese.

The children have been learning about the Chinese culture and traditions, spring cleaning the classroom to welcome in the New Year and cooking some food to eat with chopsticks!
Elms children have been writing in Chinese and have been exploring the signs of the Zodiac. They have also written some lovely acrostic poems (in English!).
