Huge congratulations to all the children who represented the school last week in the Sevenoaks Rugby Tournament. Mr Taylor reported that the children played spectacularly well achieving some terrific wins as follows:
Ide Hill 7 v’s 0 Otford
Ide Hill 5 v‘s 1 Chevening
Ide Hill 7 v’s 2 Seal
Ide Hill 6 v’s 2 Ightham
In the finals, the children played against Lady Boswells, winning the match 6 – 5 and against Chiddingstone, winning the match 4- 3 which means that Ide Hill School now has the prestigious title of winners of the Sevenoaks Rugby Tournament. Well done everyone. I have heard so many compliments about the way that you played and supported each other so I am very proud of all that you have achieved.
I was also delighted to discover that Darcie in year 5 has earned herself a place in the Kent County Cricket Team after a successful trial this week. Well done Darcie, you have kept this under your hat but we should be shouting it from the rooftops! What an amazing achievement.
