School Trips and Visits

At Ide Hill, CE school we believe that every pupil should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development, whatever their age, ability or circumstances. These often are the most memorable learning experiences; helping us to make sense of the world around us by making links between feelings and learning and transferring skills between environments.

Learning outside the classroom is about raising achievement through an organised approach. The school is committed to providing learning experiences outside of the classroom that enrich national curriculum teaching and learning experiences. Outdoor learning may take place beyond the statutory school day or beyond the school premises. Each year, the school will arrange a number of educational experiences for pupils, which will be outlined to parents and consent sought.

Forest School takes place every Friday for children in Reception and Year 1. To find out more about Forest School, please see the curriculum tab at the top of the page.

Throughout Key Stage 2, we support the children in working towards a residential visit in year 6, by organising the following:

Year 5: A 3 day/2 night action packed residential visit

Year 6: A 4 day/3 night residential adventure!

Please note arrangements for the academic year 2020/2021 are currently  unknown due to the circumstances and possible restrictions on travel.
