Year 6 Residential

30th June 2017
The children left bright and early this morning for their residential visit! After a short coach ride, the children settled happily onto the ferry.
The children arrived safely and went straight off to visit Osbourne House. They visited the Swiss Chalet, which was built for the royal children. They learnt what life would have been like for them and spent some time dressing up to really get into character! The children ate their lunch on the beach and  had fun skimming stones.
Then they walked around the house itself. They really likes the highly decorative ceilings and the peacock in the Durbar room.
Their final stop for the day was the residential centre. They settled into their rooms and enjoyed a tour of the site, before dinner and then it was time for campfire!
All the children had the opportunity to tell stories, jokes and riddles. They ended the evening with a game of 15, before showers and bed.
The children were up bright and early, ready for their breakfast! They were looking forward to their morning activities of Quad biking and climbing before lunch.
This afternoon, the children took part in fencing and archery.
Time for an ambush!!
This morning (Sunday), the children have been learning some survival skills with Miss Akehurst whilst Mr Howse's group have tacked the challenge course. Here are Miss Akehurst's photo's.
Meanwhile, others were having a jolly good time on the water!
The children left the PGL centre early this morning. Can you guess where they went next?!
