League Tables revealed

15th December 2015
Last Friday, the primary league tables were published. You will remember that last year, Ide Hill School was in the newspaper as we attained 100% level 4+ in reading, writing and maths. This year there has been an increase in the number of schools attaining 100% at level 4 and so their criteria has changed and now includes the average point score.

The Telegraph newspaper has published the top 20 primary schools in Kent, based on this criterion and we are thrilled to be 4th in the list with 14 pupils, 100% level 4+ and an average point score of 33.0.

The Sevenoaks Chronicle last week reported on the league tables, placing us 3rd in the list of the top performing primary schools in Sevenoaks.  It is wonderful that the children’s success is being celebrated as they worked so hard to achieve their potential.  The Sevenoaks Chronicle article can be found at http://www.sevenoakschronicle.co.uk/Revealed-Sevenoaks-primary-school-league-tables/story-28347628-detail/story.html

Mrs Fletcher and I undertook some research this week. We highlighted all the schools in the Telegraph with an average point score of more than 33.0 to see where we would be ranked out of all the school published on pages 36 and 37 of the Telegraph’s UK list. We found that with our APS of 33.0 we are joint 11th place! Wonderful news indeed.

Mrs Fletcher added....

"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the school for the amazing league table results announced last Friday.  WELL DONE to the children of last year's Oaks class, to Mrs Grasby and to all the teachers, volunteers and teaching assistants who have supported them on their learning journey at Ide Hill.  The results are absolutely fantastic."
